How to use Fuseji

Getting started

  1. Install. Open the downloaded file and drag Fuseji to Applications, then open it.
  2. Open. Click PDF を選ぶ (Choose PDF) or drag a PDF onto the home screen. Recent files stay on the home screen.
  3. Analysis type. On the home screen, choose “Personal data” or “Contract template.” With Contract template, amounts, dates, and periods also become candidates, and underline becomes the default redaction style.
  4. Wait. Fuseji reads the PDF and surfaces personal-data candidates, each highlighted on its page.
  5. Export. Once you've reviewed, click 書き出す (Export), pick a filename and format, and save. Verification runs automatically.

Tip: password-protected PDFs prompt you for the password on the home screen.

Review

Detected candidates appear in the right-hand list.

Click a term to jump to its next occurrence. 文書全体に適用 (Apply to document) adds the term across all pages at once.

Export

Verification runs immediately after export. If it fails, the file isn't saved.

Verification report

Redaction counts (by type and page), residual-check results (full-text, plus OCR on Pro), confirmation status for notes/attachments/metadata, and a list of unconfirmed pages. Save as PDF or CSV.

Inspector

Open 剥がしテスト (Inspector), pick a PDF redacted by another tool, and Fuseji checks for residual text, hidden characters, annotations, attachments, metadata, and bookmarks. Detection, review, export, and inspector are available in the free version.

Dictionary

Add always-redact and never-redact terms, one per line. Client names and case parties go in always-redact; your own firm name and courts go in never-redact. Pro lets you export and import dictionaries for sharing.

Batch (Pro)

Pick a folder under 一括処理 (Batch) and Fuseji applies the same dictionary and rules to every PDF, giving you a list to review.

Troubleshooting

When is the Windows version coming?

A Windows version is in preparation. We will announce the release date on this site.

Uninstalling

Quit Fuseji, move it from Applications to the Trash, and delete the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Fuseji. That removes everything; we keep no copy.
